Tummy-control denim: Styles with a tummy-control waistband run more generous than standard denim. If you are between sizes in these, size down — the compression panel adds structure and takes up the extra room.

How to Measure

Use a soft tape measure over your underwear, not over clothing. Keep the tape level and snug, but not tight enough to compress.

Bust — measure around the fullest part of your bust, keeping the tape level across your back.
Waist — measure around the narrowest part of your natural waist, usually just above the belly button. Don't hold your breath.
Hip — stand with your feet together and measure around the fullest part of your hips and seat.
Inseam — measure from the top of your inner thigh down to where you want the hem to fall, in the shoes you plan to wear.

Still Between Sizes?

If you land between two sizes, the fabric decides it:

Woven, non-stretch (most shirts, blazers, structured dresses) — size up.
Heavy stretch (leggings, ponte, tummy-control denim) — size down.
Oversized or relaxed styles — take your usual size; the extra room is already built in.

Why a bead band wears well

A smooth band shows every scratch, because there's nothing to break up the surface. A beaded band doesn't — the texture catches light from several angles at once, so ordinary wear reads as patina rather than damage. It's the practical argument for texture in a ring you plan to wear daily.

It also stacks well. The rounded profile sits against a flat band without either one fighting the other, which is why bead rings turn up so often in stacking sets.

Getting the size right

Rings are the one thing you can't adjust after the fact, so it's worth measuring. Wrap a strip of paper around the base of the finger you'll wear it on, mark where it overlaps, and measure that length — that's your circumference. Match it to the range above.

Two things worth knowing: fingers are slightly larger at the end of the day and in warm weather, and your dominant hand usually measures a touch bigger than the other. Measure when your hands are at normal temperature, not cold.

Caring for plated jewelry

Plating is a surface layer, and it lasts as long as you protect it. Take the ring off before exercising — sweat is the main thing that wears plating thin — and before swimming, showering, or cleaning. Put it on after perfume, lotion, and hairspray rather than before. Store it in the box between wears so it isn't rubbing against other jewelry.

Done consistently, that's the difference between a plated ring lasting a season and lasting years.

Questions we get

Is it solid gold? No — it's sterling silver with 18K gold plating over it. That's what keeps it at this price rather than several times it.

Will it turn my finger green? Sterling silver under gold plating is far less likely to than a base-metal ring. Keeping it dry and off during workouts is the best prevention.

Can it be resized? Resizing a plated ring damages the plating at the join. Order the size you need rather than planning to alter it.
