The cardigan you throw on over everything.
Chunky knit with real buttons down the front, cut roomy enough to layer over a tee or a thin sweater without straining across the back.
Beige, light blue, and gray — three colors that go with most of what's already in your closet.
What makes it work
- Chunky knit, manageable weight. The texture reads substantial without the heft of a wool coat.
- Buttons, not a zip. Fasten it all the way, do up two in the middle, or leave it open — three looks from one piece.
- Room to layer. The bust runs 39.4" on the small up to 44.1" on the extra large, so there's space underneath.
- Long enough to cover. 23.6" to 24.8" from shoulder to hem, so it sits past the waistband rather than cropping at it.
- Slight stretch in the knit, so the sleeves don't fight you when you reach.
The fabric
95% acrylic with a small amount of spandex. Acrylic is what gives a chunky knit like this its loft without the weight, and unlike wool it won't itch or ask for special washing.
The spandex is there so the cuffs and hem spring back instead of stretching out over a season.
Fit notes
Sizes S through XL, cut relaxed rather than fitted. Sleeves run 24" to 25.2", which is generous — if you like a cuff turned back, you'll have length to work with. Between sizes? Take the smaller one unless you plan to layer something bulky underneath; there's already ease built in.
How to wear it
- Buttoned over a tank with straight-leg jeans.
- Open over a slip dress, with boots.
- Fastened at the waist only and worn like a top, over wide-leg trousers.

Good to know
Will it pill? Any chunky acrylic knit can pill where it rubs — under the arms, along the seatbelt line. Washing cold and inside out slows it down considerably.
Is it warm enough for winter? On its own it's a fall and spring weight. Under a coat it works well as a mid-layer through the cold months.
Does it shrink? Not if you follow the label. Acrylic holds its shape well at low heat — cold wash, low tumble dry.
