Denim & Jeans

Denim is sized by waist. Many of the brands we carry — including Judy Blue, RISEN and KanCan — label sizes as a number followed by the waist measurement, for example 7(28).

Tummy-control denim: Styles with a tummy-control waistband run more generous than standard denim. If you are between sizes in these, size down — the compression panel adds structure and takes up the extra room.

How to Measure

Use a soft tape measure over your underwear, not over clothing. Keep the tape level and snug, but not tight enough to compress.

Bust — measure around the fullest part of your bust, keeping the tape level across your back.
Waist — measure around the narrowest part of your natural waist, usually just above the belly button. Don't hold your breath.
Hip — stand with your feet together and measure around the fullest part of your hips and seat.
Inseam — measure from the top of your inner thigh down to where you want the hem to fall, in the shoes you plan to wear.

Still Between Sizes?

If you land between two sizes, the fabric decides it:

Woven, non-stretch (most shirts, blazers, structured dresses) — size up.
Heavy stretch (leggings, ponte, tummy-control denim) — size down.
Oversized or relaxed styles — take your usual size; the extra room is already built in.

What you're getting

Fabric and fit

97% polyester with 3% elastane. That combination is what makes a novelty knit like this survive real wear — it holds the panel shapes, doesn't bag out at the elbows, and comes out of the wash the same size it went in. The fit is relaxed rather than fitted: room through the bust and body, sleeves that stop just short of the wrist.

How to wear it

With straight jeans and sneakers. Let the top be the only thing happening.
Tucked at the front into high-waisted pants, so the hem doesn't swallow the waistline.
Under a plain denim jacket, sleeves pushed up.

Good to know

Is the graphic printed or knitted in? This is a patchwork knit rather than a screen print, so the design is part of the fabric construction — it won't crack or peel the way a printed graphic eventually does.

Does it run big or small? It's cut relaxed by design. Take your usual size for the intended fit, or size down if you want it closer to the body.

Will it pill? Polyester knits resist pilling better than acrylic or wool. Wash it inside out on cold and it'll stay looking new for a long time.
