Denim & Jeans

Denim is sized by waist. Many of the brands we carry — including Judy Blue, RISEN and KanCan — label sizes as a number followed by the waist measurement, for example 7(28).

Tummy-control denim: Styles with a tummy-control waistband run more generous than standard denim. If you are between sizes in these, size down — the compression panel adds structure and takes up the extra room.

How to Measure

Use a soft tape measure over your underwear, not over clothing. Keep the tape level and snug, but not tight enough to compress.

Bust — measure around the fullest part of your bust, keeping the tape level across your back.
Waist — measure around the narrowest part of your natural waist, usually just above the belly button. Don't hold your breath.
Hip — stand with your feet together and measure around the fullest part of your hips and seat.
Inseam — measure from the top of your inner thigh down to where you want the hem to fall, in the shoes you plan to wear.

Still Between Sizes?

If you land between two sizes, the fabric decides it:

Woven, non-stretch (most shirts, blazers, structured dresses) — size up.
Heavy stretch (leggings, ponte, tummy-control denim) — size down.
Oversized or relaxed styles — take your usual size; the extra room is already built in.

Tie Front Tank Top

A tie front tank top in light blue, in sizes S to L. The tie is the useful part — it is adjustable, so you set how close the fit is and how much of the hem sits above the waistband, rather than being stuck with how it was cut.

How the tie front tank top fits

Sleeveless, with the tie at centre front. Pulled tight it sits close and cropped; left loose it falls straight and longer. That adjustability is why a tie front works across a wider range of sizes than a fixed-hem tank, and it is the reason to order your usual size rather than sizing around the bust.

Fabric and care

A lightweight, breathable woven — cool enough for a hot day and machine washable. We do not have a full composition breakdown from the maker on this one; if that matters to your purchase, ask us before ordering and we will check the label.

What to wear it with
