10 Black Work Pants that Will Make You Look and Feel Confident

No matter what kind of work you do, chances are you’re going to need a pair of black pants to wear with your business casual attire at least once or twice during the week. With so many different brands and styles out there, though, it can be hard to know which black pants are best for you—until now! If you’re looking for the best black work pants for women, these ten options will definitely do the trick!

1) Cross Back

This style of black work pants offers your back a little bit of extra support, which is great for those who are worried about tugging at their tops or feeling uncomfortable. They’re also super easy to put on and take off, making them a great alternative for casual days when you want to slip in and out of meetings quickly. If your office culture is relaxed enough, choose one without a belt loop so you can break with convention and wear it sans belt. And while they look sleek and polished, these pants are actually incredibly comfortable thanks to wide leg openings and stretchy fabric. So if you need to squat down low or move around a lot during your day, they won’t feel restrictive at all. As long as you stick with solid colors (like black), these will be perfect for formal settings like job interviews as well as everyday wear in an office setting.

2) Wide Leg

If you have a little more junk in your trunk, you might want to consider going with a wider leg cut. They look especially good on women with an hourglass figure, making your legs look slimmer by comparison. Plus, if you’re looking for something that’s easy to move around in, then wide-leg pants are probably your best bet. The only downside is they can make you feel like you’re wearing a costume—but we promise it won’t be as bad as wearing one of those giant foam cowboy hats at Halloween. To avoid feeling too over-the-top, try mixing up your top half with a button down or blouse underneath. You can also pair them with heels or flats to add some contrast to your outfit.

3) Ankle Length

While they're typically not favored by professionals (except those in fashion or retail), ankle-length pants can be a stylish choice for women. If you are self-conscious about your height, go with a slight heel to elongate your legs. If you don't want to add shoe lifts, make sure you wear tall black boots with them! Your ankles will also look smaller when tucked into these boots. When wearing flats, choose ones that come up just below your ankle bone to show off as much of your leg as possible. For example, wedges are a great option because they hit at just below the ankle bone without being too high. Additionally, if you have long calves, try tucking in your top to draw attention away from them!

4) Narrow Cuff

Wide cuffs make your legs look stumpy. Choose pants with narrow or no cuffs. Narrow cuffs are also appropriate for all formal offices, which is a nice way to feel confident and pull off a professional look. There’s no need to get rid of your old trousers; simply roll up their hems to create narrow cuffs. This will give you an instant boost in confidence! It may be hard to believe, but most women never think about their work attire. They wake up one day and realize they’re wearing last year’s clothes to work. But how many times have you felt embarrassed because your shirthad stretched out over time? If you’re still wearing clothes from high school, it might be time for an upgrade.

5) No Gap

The fit of your work pants is very important in making you feel confident when at work. While most companies allow a looser fit, it’s important to remember that most women are built differently, so what one person thinks is flattering might not be for another. If you find yourself always adjusting your pants or skirt while at work, it could be time to try a new brand. There are many different styles out there, but these 10 black work pants will make any woman look polished and professional all day long. They’re designed with a variety of different fits and sizes so everyone can find something they love. From boot cut to straight leg, they’re made from high-quality materials that won’t stretch out over time and keep their shape throughout every wear. Each pair has reinforced seams that hold up even after multiple washes without fading or shrinking over time. They also come in a variety of colors and prints depending on how much personality you want to show off at work each day!

6) Side Zipper Pockets

Many pants have side zippers on their pockets, which can be extremely convenient. These zippers allow you to quickly remove your cellphone, ID card or a credit card while avoiding security sensors at work. If you’re looking for a pant with easy access to these pockets, then consider purchasing a pair of black work pants with side zippers. The added convenience will make it easier for you to get through your day without missing a beat. Side zippers are available in both cargo and straight leg styles. Consider getting one in each style so you can decide which type is best for your needs.

7)  Patch Pocket

The back patch pocket is popular in both men’s and women’s pants. It gives you a place to keep your hands warm without having to stuff them into your pockets, which may not be as deep as you would like. This style of pocket looks good on most pants, especially jeans. Some designs even feature extra pockets for storing other items such as money or keys. The back patch pocket may seem shallow, but you can fit quite a bit in it if needed. If you are looking for something to hold your phone, however, then you might want to consider another option. A smart phone will likely hang out of these pockets when sitting down because they are so small. But some people prefer keeping their phones in their front pocket anyway. If that sounds more like you, then go ahead and choose whatever color black work pants with back patch pockets look best on you!

8) Ponte knit pants

Ponte knit pants are a great option for work. These pants are stretchy, comfortable, and create a slimming silhouette. Pair these with a white button-down or blouse for an easy outfit to transition from day to night. These pants can be worn at work or out on a date. They come in black, grey, brown, navy blue and other colors. The ponte knit fabric is wrinkle resistant so you don’t have to worry about ironing them before wearing them out of your house. If you like wearing pencil skirts, try pairing these pants with one for a professional look. If you prefer to wear something more casual, wear them with flats or boots and a cute top. This will make it easier to go straight from work to happy hour without having to change outfits.

9)Cropped 'midi' pants

One thing to note is that, if you’re short, cropped pants may make you look shorter. If you’re tall, however, they can be a great way to show off your long legs. Cropped midi pants are one of my favorite things about summer fashion—they’re perfect for showing off stylish ankle boots or peep-toe pumps. They also elongate your silhouette and give you an overall more polished appearance. I own several pairs in different colors, including black, navy blue, and gray. For me, these pants are a staple part of my work wardrobe. If you want to try them out but aren’t sure how to wear them, check out some outfit ideas here!

10) Flat Front & No Pleats

Sometimes called classic-fit pants, these are a classic option for formal looks. They have a boxy fit through your thighs and calves, then taper down toward your ankles. These can be worn with both heels or flats, although they tend to look better with heels since they’re typically more slimming. Wear them to work with a button-down shirt for a super professional look, or wear them out on a date night with stilettos for some serious sass. If you want something that works well in an office setting, you should try to find black flat front pants without pleats; most black dress pants have pleats, but it’s harder to find ones without.
