Tummy-control denim: Styles with a tummy-control waistband run more generous than standard denim. If you are between sizes in these, size down — the compression panel adds structure and takes up the extra room.

How to Measure

Use a soft tape measure over your underwear, not over clothing. Keep the tape level and snug, but not tight enough to compress.

Bust — measure around the fullest part of your bust, keeping the tape level across your back.
Waist — measure around the narrowest part of your natural waist, usually just above the belly button. Don't hold your breath.
Hip — stand with your feet together and measure around the fullest part of your hips and seat.
Inseam — measure from the top of your inner thigh down to where you want the hem to fall, in the shoes you plan to wear.

Still Between Sizes?

If you land between two sizes, the fabric decides it:

Woven, non-stretch (most shirts, blazers, structured dresses) — size up.
Heavy stretch (leggings, ponte, tummy-control denim) — size down.
Oversized or relaxed styles — take your usual size; the extra room is already built in.

This plus size mock neck midi dress is sleeveless with a slit in the skirt, and runs from S all the way to 4XL in white, black and sage. It is the rare dress that works as a straightforward work dress and still reads right for dinner afterwards, which is mostly down to the mock neck — a high neckline does the formal work that a low one cannot.

The cut, and what makes it a work dress

A mock neck stands a short way up the throat without folding over, so it is cleaner than a turtleneck and much less warm.
