5 Sexy Ways to Wear a T-Shirt

The versatile T-shirt has become such an important staple of our wardrobes that it’s easy to overlook just how many different ways you can wear it, as well as what great ways there are to dress it up with more formal clothes, or down by pairing it with athletic shorts and sneakers. That’s why we’ve put together this handy guide to show you 5 sexy ways to wear a T-shirt!

1) Wear It With A Suit

The humble t-shirt is often ridiculed, but it’s still one of those wardrobe items that gets your clothes into rotation more than anything else. Why not take it up a notch? Instead of pairing it with jeans and sneakers, consider wearing a smart suit and tie with some well polished brogues. This look has an air of confidence about it – you know what you’re doing! It also shows you have an eye for style; after all, if you can pull off a killer suit with a simple tee then you must be able to pull off most things in life. Plus, it’s comfortable too. We think that deserves some credit. So next time you want to try something new, why not wear a suit with a t-shirt? You might just surprise yourself. And if you do, don’t forget to let us know... we’d love to see how it goes.

2) Unbutton it and Layer It

Although button-down shirts are always professional, you’ll look especially sharp when you unbutton it and layer it over an understated blouse. Add some accessories—like ankle boots or a necklace—and you’re all set for an important meeting with your boss or potential investors. You can even dress up a simple pair of jeans by wearing a long-sleeved shirt underneath; just make sure that you wear something that fits well so you don’t have any awkward bunching in places where it shouldn’t be. The goal is to keep things clean and polished, so avoid pairing anything too casual with your nice button-down shirt. If you work in an office environment, make sure that everyone around you knows that there is no way they can borrow it without asking first! Just kidding...kind of.

3) Pair with Denim

A t-shirt is often considered more casual than an actual dress shirt, so when it comes to pairing it with trousers, you want something you can dress up. Dark denim is just that—it’s dressy enough and pairs perfectly with any shoe you can imagine. This combination is perfect for casual Friday at work or an evening out on the town. Just make sure your jeans are dark in color; lighter denims can make your legs look washed out. Also, try not to get anything too tight around your waist. While skinny jeans are all the rage right now, a baggy t-shirt paired with slim pants will look better. If you want a more relaxed fit, go for straight leg pants instead of skinny ones—this way everything still fits but isn’t overly tight or bulky. You can even pair these two looks together by wearing light wash jeans with a darker top. You don’t have to stick to black, either: Navy blue and khaki colors also work well together. However, they won’t look as formal as dark colors do—but they can be great if you need something easy to throw on quickly before leaving home! And remember, while they’re known as a men’s item, there are plenty of women who wear them—so don’t feel like you have to hide yours under a long sweater. They really do come in handy for days when you aren’t feeling super creative about what to wear!

4) Try Layering Different Patterns

A great trick for making an outfit more interesting is by layering different patterns. For example, when you wear an animal print shirt over another patterned piece, you can create very unique, bold looks. To pull off these daring outfits, pair your shirt with jeans or black pants and high heels. You could also try wearing a striped top over a solid color dress. This will give you an overall balanced look while still letting your personality shine through. Remember that having confidence in what you’re wearing is key!
Be Careful What You Wish For: Have you ever wished that someone would notice how beautiful you are? How about what a nice smile you have? Well, be careful what you wish for because people are likely to see all of those things as soon as they get close enough to kiss. When you’re kissing someone, your eyes are closed and your lips are pressed together. That means that all of your senses will be heightened and more attuned to what’s going on around you. So if you really want to make an impression with your lips (and who doesn’t?), then it might not hurt to invest in some bright red lipstick or gloss. This way, when your date gets close enough to see what color your lips are, he or she will also see how stunningly gorgeous they look.

Don’t Be Afraid To Stand Out: It can be hard being different from everyone else; however, don’t let that stop you from trying new things! If you always follow everyone else’s lead without thinking for yourself once in awhile, then you won’t grow as a person.

5) Dress it Up with Accessories

I’m sure you already know that an outfit is more than just an item of clothing, but did you also know that your accessories are almost as important as your clothing? Using accessories in creative ways allows you to express yourself without saying a word. Choose items that reflect your personality, because when people look at them they will be able to tell who you are and what kind of lifestyle you lead. Don’t forget about hair accessories! These can help complete any outfit and give it that little something extra. You don’t have to spend a lot of money on jewelry or other accessories; think outside of the box and try using everyday items like scarves, hats, ties, necklaces or even belts! The possibilities are endless! If you aren’t sure where to start, here are some ideas: tuck a scarf into your shirt for a unique twist on wearing one; tie two together for double fashion points; use belts instead of bracelets with outfits—the list goes on and on. If you want to make sure that everyone notices your outfit (and not how cheap it was), make sure everything coordinates perfectly. Your shoes should match your belt, which should match your socks, which should match your pants/skirt/shirt. This doesn’t mean you need to buy all new clothes—just take some time and find pieces that work well together. When done correctly, coordinating pieces will make your outfit look expensive and put-together while still looking like something you would wear every day. Another way to dress up a simple tee is by adding layers!
