    Shop Hooded Winter Coats for Women

    A hooded winter coat means one less thing to remember on a cold morning: the hood covers your head, ears and neck when the wind picks up and folds down when it doesn't. Every coat here has a hood — quilted puffers, parkas with faux fur trim, teddy and sherpa-lined styles, and longline coats that cover the thigh.

    Puffer Hood or Fur-Trimmed Hood

    A plain quilted hood is light and packs flat. A faux-fur-trimmed hood stands away from your face and breaks the wind before it reaches your cheeks, which is why parkas use it. If you live somewhere with real wind chill, choose the trimmed hood.

    How Long Should a Hooded Coat Be?

    Hip length is easiest for driving and everyday errands. Mid-length and long winter coats are warmer because they cover your seat and thighs — the better choice if you walk, commute by train or wait outside.

    Fit and Sizing

    Leave room for a sweater underneath: take your usual size for a fine knit and size up for a chunky one. Measurements are in our size chart.

    Hooded winter coats: questions before you buy

    Are the hoods removable?

    Some are. Product titles and descriptions say "detachable" when the hood or fur trim comes off; otherwise the hood is sewn in.

    Is a hooded coat warmer than wearing a hat?

    A hood seals the gap at the back of your neck that a hat leaves open, so in wind it usually feels warmer.

    How fast will my coat arrive?

    Orders of $50 or more ship free to the US and Canada; under $50 is a flat $5. Orders usually ship 3–4 days after you order and most US orders arrive 3–5 business days after that.

    Can I return a coat if it doesn't fit?

    You have 30 days after delivery to request a return. Items need to be unworn with tags attached, and once the return is approved we email a free return label. Clearance and final-sale items can't be returned.
