    A sherpa-lined jacket has denim, suede or quilting on the outside and sherpa inside, so it looks like a regular jacket and feels like a blanket. An all-over sherpa or teddy jacket is the softer, more casual look and the warmest for its weight.

    When to Wear Sherpa

    Sherpa is at its best on cool, dry days and as a layer over a hoodie. In rain or wet snow, choose a puffer jacket or a winter coat instead.

    Fit and Sizing

    Sherpa lining takes up room, so a sherpa-lined jacket fits a little closer than an unlined one. If you are between sizes, size up. Measurements are in our size chart.

    Sherpa jackets: questions before you buy

    Is sherpa warm?

    Yes — sherpa traps air in its pile, which makes it warm for its weight. It is less wind- and water-resistant than a puffer.

    How do I wash a sherpa jacket?

    Wash cold on a gentle cycle and air dry. Heat flattens the pile, so skip the dryer.

    How fast will my jacket arrive?

    Orders of $50 or more ship free to the US and Canada; under $50 is a flat $5. Orders usually ship 3–4 days after you order and most US orders arrive 3–5 business days after that.

    Can I return a jacket if it doesn't fit?

    You have 30 days after delivery to request a return. Items need to be unworn with tags attached, and once the return is approved we email a free return label. Clearance and final-sale items can't be returned.
