A striped long sleeve top in tangerine, finished with lettuce-edge cuffs and trim. Relaxed through the body, soft, and considerably more interesting than a plain striped tee.
What a lettuce edge is
It's a hem finished by stretching the fabric while sewing, so it ripples rather than lying flat — the wavy edge looks like the frilled margin of a lettuce leaf, which is where the name comes from. It's a finishing technique rather than an applied trim, so there's no separate ruffle stitched on: the edge itself is the detail.
On a casual striped top it does exactly enough. The garment stays easy and wearable, but the cuffs and hem stop it reading as a basic.
Relaxed, and longer than you'd expect
The body runs 25.2" to 27.6" from the shoulder with a bust of 41.7" to 49.6" — roomy, and long enough to wear untucked over leggings. Sleeves are shorter at 19.9" to 20.3", so they sit near the wrist rather than past it.
The details
- Lettuce-edge cuffs and trim — rippled rather than flat.
- Stripes in a warm tangerine.
- Genuinely stretchy — 95% polyester with 5% elastane.
- Relaxed fit through the body.
- Sizes S through XL.
How to wear it
- With jeans, sleeves pushed up so the lettuce cuffs stay visible.
- Front-tucked into a high-waisted skirt.
- Loose over leggings — the length works untucked.
- Under a plain cardigan or blazer, cuffs out past the sleeve.

Good to know
Will the lettuce edge flatten out? No — the ripple is built into how the seam was sewn, not pressed in. It survives washing.
Should I iron the cuffs? Don't. Pressing a lettuce edge flat is the one thing that undoes it.
Is tangerine hard to wear? It sits well with denim, cream, white, and brown. Harder against pink or red.
